If you haven't been up to our local mountains, you may not know how fantastic the riding is there. Unfortunately that riding is threatened. The USFS is considering wilderness designation, which would ban bicycle riding on historical singletrack, trails and roads. So take a second and contact the Forest Service to ask that the wilderness area be designated as "Backcountry Non-Motorized." That means it will still be protected and won't be turned into a housing development, but hikers, bikers and equestrians can still enjoy quality time with Yogi and Boo-Boo.
